DATA WE COLLECT
Membership data: last name(s), first name(s), email address, profession, workplace(s), and department(s).
Payment data: payments are processed by our service provider, Stripe. SLMUC does not collect or store any credit card data; it only receives a payment confirmation and transaction/subscription identifiers.
Contact form data: name, email address, message.
Browsing data: cookies and trackers (see the Cookie Policy), collected only with your consent.
PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES OF PROCESSING
–Management of your membership and member account Legal basis: performance of the membership contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR)
-Payment processing and sending of certificates Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) and legal/accounting obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR)
-Responding to your requests via the contact form Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR)
–Audience measurement or third-party cookies (videos, etc.) Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR)
DATA RECIPIENTS
Your data is accessible only to authorized persons within SLMUC and to our subcontractors, who are contractually bound to comply with the GDPR:
– Stripe (payment processing)
– Mailjet / Sinch (sending emails and certificates)
– Nvision (hosting)
Your data is never sold or rented to third parties.
TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION
Certain service providers (e.g., Stripe) may process data outside the EU. These transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission).
RETENTION PERIODS
Member data: for the duration of the membership and for 10 years after its termination when retention is necessary to comply with accounting or legal obligations. Other data is deleted or anonymized as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected.
Contact messages: 12 months from the last exchange, unless a longer period is required to process the request or due to a legal obligation.
Payment data (on Stripe’s side): in accordance with Stripe’s legal obligations. Beyond these periods, data is deleted or anonymized.
YOUR RIGHTS
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights: right of access to your data, right to rectification, right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), right to restriction of processing, right to data portability, right to object, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. SECURITY
SLMUC implements appropriate technical and organizational measures (secure HTTPS connection, restricted access, compliant service providers) to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
No decisions producing legal effects are made solely on the basis of automated processing.

CHANGES
This policy may be updated. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of the document.
