WHO WE ARE ?

The Luxembourg Society of Emergency and Disaster Medicine is a non-profit scientific association serving all professionals involved in Emergency Medicine in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Our mission is to promote highquality Emergency Medicine by bringing together physicians, nurses, paramedics and all healthcare professionals involved in emergency care, with one common objective: providing the best possible care for every patient. As a young and rapidly growing scientific society, we are committed to advancing Emergency Medicine throughout Luxembourg.

SLMUC is a member of the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM)

OUR MISSIONS

  • Bring together all emergency care professionals across Luxembourg
  • Promote emergency medicine in Luxembourg and the unity of its practice, in order to ensure comprehensive care for acute patients
  • Develop and disseminate coordinated protocols and professional guidelines
  • Encourage continuous training for professionals working in the emergency field
  • Continuously develop the knowledge, practical skills, interpersonal skills, and procedural expertise ("know-how") of emergency doctors and nurses
  • Coordinate the various emergency services in Luxembourg
  • Defend the interests of the association's registered members.
